Happy Halloween

We carved pumpkins and had to get one just Jackson's size. He wasn't to into it but I am sure the time will come for that. Jackson started making this really funny "monster" sound on his own so we decided to make him a monster for halloween. He was such a good boy, he never complained all halloween day when we would put it on, take it off, then put it on AGAIN!

After a long 6 month deployment Frank is finally home! Jackson and I were at the Seabee base to greet him Sunday night. He spent 3 months in Jamaica then 3 months in Spain. We really have missed him around the house and we were both worried about how Jackson would react to having a "new" body around the house. We were excited to see that Jackson was comfortable from the moment Frank held him :) We have relaxed around the house Frank's first couple of days home and will be going on a little vacation to Panama City next week. Thank you to all our soldeirs and sailors out there for all you do!

I need to do better wtih updating!

Jackson and I went home to IL for a month while Frank was gone and we were BUSY! We started off our trip by celebrating Dustin's graduation from ISU. Jackson crawled on the grass for the first time, that was funny :) I took this picture of Jackson at the graduation, who knows, maybe in 22 yrs he will be the graduate. Wow, crazy to think about, I mean he isn't even one, yet. We then spent a few days at Uncle Paul and Aunt Gail's house and Jackson always wanted to help with the dish washer, or at least pretend he was helping! Ashley, Jamie, John and I had an army retirement party for our mom. Jackson was relaxing at the end of the day with his Uncle Tim.

For Ashley's 29th birthday we celebrated in Wrigley Field for the Cub's game. I had a great time! Jackson got to spend the day with Grandpa Zamarron and I think they were both pretty tired at the end of the day. I got Jackson a push bike, he loves it! He is funny because when he isn't moving he moves his head back and forth to get himself moving.
Mom and I took Jackson to the park for the first time to go swinging. He LOVED it! So my goal when we got back home to MS was to take him swinging as often as I could. Ashley drove back to MS with me. She helped me give Jackson a bath and we couldn't resist giving Jackson a mohawk :)

Jackson is keeping us on our toes! He loves his jump-a-roo he got from Santa! We are starting to pack up to move into brand new base housing here in Gulfport. One of my many complaints about this area is there are no easily accessible parks in Gulfport and this new housing complex is going to have a toddler park. Perfect for a growing boy. Jackson has started eating baby cereal and will be moving onto baby food next week. He is eating like a champ. I can't believe all the new things Jackson is doing, sitting up by himself, picking up his toys, and rolling all over the floor. It makes me laugh because instead of crawling to get a toy he rolls onto his back while scooting then rolls back over to get his toy. Babies are amazing little creatures! We are going to be going to Washington D.C. with mom, Jamie, Ashley, and Tim. Who knows, maybe we will be seeing the new president! Jackson likes playing with his Daddy and is going to miss him while he is gone.

My First Blog

Well, I started this blog in February of 2008 with hopes to keep it updated during my pregnancy. It is now January 2009, I am making my first blog entry and Jackson is almost 6 months old, so my plan didn't work. I wish I would have started this when he was born in July, but, oh well! Frank is going to be leaving soon and wanted to have this blog going while he is gone. I figured it would be the easiest way for him to see pictures of Jackson daily. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as we will. Jackson continues to do well, he is going to be 6 months old on Jan 28, where does the time go? He sits up very well when we prop him up and is a regular chatty cathy (not sure what the term is for guys). He makes us laugh all the time and we enjoy walking into a room that he is in because he has a HUGE smile! His Uncle Tim says it is almost fake looking it's so perfect. Enjoy the pictures and come back often!
